A Barrie woman is facing charges after becoming involved in a loud dispute with another woman over puppies.
The incident occurred Monday afternoon. Police responded to a call at a residence regarding a dispute between neighbours. Upon arrival, they say, they observed two women arguing over puppies that one of them owned. One of the women, say police, “was very irate and threatened to seriously injure the other female.”
The dispute continued as the female who issued the threat was arrested and moved to a police car. She, say police, started swearing at the other female, comments heard by children playing in a nearby park, police say.
She was transported to the police station and charged with threatening to cause bodily harm and failing to comply with a probation order. The 41-year-old female was held pending a bail hearing.
