Wanted Barrie man found in Toronto

A Barrie man, 24, is back in police custody after failing to live up to his release conditions, police report.
On Jan. 10, the male in question was released from custody on a recognizance for failing to comply with probation, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of trafficking controlled, and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
He was supposed to check in with Barrie police every Monday, but police report he hadn’t done so since May 14. A warrant was sworn out for his arrest.
The male was located in Toronto by that city’s police service, and arrested. Barrie officers drove to the city, bringing the male back to this city where he is being held pending a bail hearing.
