Usual Saturday night for Barrie police

Barrie police dealt with the usual degree of mayhem Saturday night and Sunday morning, making arrests for domestic assault and drunken behaviour.
Police pepper-sprayed a man after attended a south-end residents in regards to a man reportedly assaulting his wife. The irate male tried to set his dog on the officers. He was taken into custody after a struggle.

• In other police news:

A Barrie man wore out his welcome at a friend’s place after imbibing too much. He left the residence, later to be located at the front of the fire station on Big Bay Point Road. For some reason he became aggressive with the on-duty firemen, who called police to remove him.
