Two males face robbery charges

Two males, both 29, face charges following the attempted robbery of a Byrne Drive gas station, Sunday night.
Police report that they took a 911 call about 11:30 Sunday night from an attendant at the station who hit the “panic button” after two males entered the station wearing masks, with one of the men brandishing a knife and demanding money.
The attendant refused to comply and hit the alarm, at which point the males fled. A description was provided to police, and also the direction in which the men fled. A short time later an officer noticed two males who matched the description provided. A knife sticking out of one of the male’s pockets was observed.
They were placed under arrest and face a charge of robbery and wear disguise with intent; one also faces a charge of carry concealed weapon. Both males were held pending a bail hearing.
