Trio facing drug-related charges

Two Brampton residents and a female from Florida are facing drug-related charges after an alert employee of a restaurant alerted police to suspicious activity.
On Monday around 8 p.m., the employee observed three people in the restaurant behaving in a suspicious manner, say police. The employee was concerned they were smoking drugs in the washroom.
When police arrived, they observed three people in a car. They were subsequently found to have a quantity of Fentinyl patches, which are codeine-based pain killers. They were arrested and taken to the police station and jointly charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
A Brampton male, 30, a Brampton female , 30, and 19-year-old female from Florida were held for a bail hearing.
