Tossed furniture barely misses teacher

Police were called to a south-end Barrie school after a student demonstrated his displeasure with a teacher’s decision by tossing both a chair and a desk at him, narrowly missing the teacher.
The 13-year-old student, police report, became enraged when his teacher told him he wouldn’t be participating in gym class due to improper attire. Apparently, the news didn’t go down well, and the student pitched the furniture at his teacher.
The incensed student was contained until police arrived. He was taken to the police station before being released with a court date.
