Search of residence yields cocaine

A search by police of a south-end Barrie residence yielded drugs with an estimated street value of more than $10,000.
The arrest of two people in an alleged drug transaction in a commercial parking lot at Yonge Street and Big Bay Point Road led police to execute a search warrant at the residence, where a quantity of cocaine and prescription drugs were found.
The Street Crime and Drug Unit also seized a motor vehicle as offence related property as it is alleged to have been used to facilitate the criminal activity. The Barrie Police Forfeiture Unit will be following up with this aspect of the investigation.
