Police taser “combative” man

Barrie police report that a man didn’t take too kindly to his mother’s attempts to take away his case of beer, and is spending some time in police custody as a result of his response.
Police say they took a call from a city residence about a family dispute. Upon arriving, officers were told that a man, 38, had assaulted his mother because she removed his case of beer. Police say they took the man into the garage, where, it’s reported, he became combative with officers. To avoid being assaulted, police report the officers tasered the man.
Later, while at the police station, he once again became combative until being locked in a cell. He was held pending a bail hearing.
