Police members run for Special Olympics

Members of the Barrie Police Service will be participating in the Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run in support of Special Olympics.
Runners will be joined by Special Olympians and the torch, departing Barrie Police Headquarters and running the route to St. Vincent Square Park. The run is set for Wednesday, June 20 with the warm up 9:45 a.m. and the run starting at 10:15 a.m. It all kicks off at the Barrie Police Service Headquarters, 29 Sperling Drive.
The route:
• South on St. Vincent
• West on Penetang Street
• West on Codrington Street & McDonald Street
• South on Owen Street
• East on Collier Street
• A stop at City Hall for a photo and to pick up a few runners for the last leg
• Continue East on Collier Street
• East on Blake Street to St. Vincent Square Park
The community is invited to encourage runners along the route.
