Police charge three in assault

A get together at an east-end residence turned violent when three men attacked an 18-year-old male, leaving him with injuries that required hospital care.
The injuries stem from an altercation, after which Barrie police commenced an investigation. The youth became embroiled in an argument with three males, which, say police, “became heated to the point that the three males jumped the victim forcing him to the ground.”
He was kicked and punched repeatedly, and struck by all three males with broken beer bottles. The victim managed to get out of the residence and to the Royal Victoria Hospital where he was treated for a hairline fracture to his upper left cheekbone and received stitches to his finger.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged three males, ranging in age from 22-24. They are to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges, police say.
