After a peaceful day on Thursday Barrie police returned to business as usual on Friday, dealing with a variety of complaints and disturbances.
Police reported they had no news of significance to release on Thursday, a rare quiet day. Friday night, a Barrie man, 32, was asked to leave a downtown bar because of his behaviour. After doing so he tried to get back into the bar, but was denied entry.
In a fit of rage, police say, he pitched an ashtray at the window of the main entrance, destroying the $600 window. Police arrived and took the irate gentleman into custody. Once sober, he was released with a court date in May to answer to the charge of mischief.
