Man off to Orillia to face charges

A man wanted on several outstanding warrants is now in custody after Barrie police went to a city apartment to check on two small children.
While there they discovered a male, 24, who wasn’t supposed to be at the residence. The male also lied to the police about who he was. Further investigation revealed that he was wanted by Orillia OPP. The male was arrested and held at the station. The children were okay and with an adult.
The male was charged with a new offence of obstruct police and released on this charge, then turned over to Orillia OPP to face charges of failing to appear in court, three counts of mischief under, two counts of fail to comply with probation, three counts of assault, fail to comply with recognizance and three counts of fail to comply with undertaking, as well as a surety revoke.
He was transported to Orillia to face all the outstanding charges.
