Man makes unplanned trip to Barrie

A man boarding a plane for Halifax this morning missed his flight and is now in the custody of the Barrie Police Service, pending a bail hearing.
Peel Regional Police investigated the man as he was attempting to bring a quarter ounce of pot with him on the flight. It turns out, police report, that he was allowed to have the marihuana for medical reasons.
However, the investigation also found that he was wanted by Barrie police on an outstanding warrant from 2007 relating to five counts of possession of stolen property. He made a trip to Barrie instead of Halifax.
