Not to be in each other’s company

They may have arrived looking for a suspected female shoplifter, but Barrie police officers left with a local man who wasn’t supposed to be in the company of the female.
Police were called to the Shoppers Drug Mart on Wellington Street, Tuesday afternoon. They approached a male driver in a vehicle that had been described to them. He verbally identified himself, police report, which aroused their suspicions as they know a male with the same last name is not supposed to have any contact with the female. He subsequently tells police his real name, they report.
The male, 29, had been charged in April and had been given a court order not to communicate with the female. In fact, police report he was living with her. He was arrested and charged criminally with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Obstruct Police. He was taken into custody and held pending a bail hearing. The female was charged accordingly with Theft under and released on scene with a future court date.
