Locked door no barrier, say police

A domestic confrontation that included a hole punched in a wall involved even more property damage, a door kicked in, say police.
On Wednesday, Barrie police took a call about a domestic disturbance, during which the property damaged occurred. After damaging the wall, police say, a male, 22, went to the garage for some reason. When he did, the female locked the door attempting to keep him out.
The male kicked the door in and then took out a lighter and threatened to burn down the house, police say. He was subsequently charged with mischief under $5,000, uttering threats and held pending a bail hearing.
