Jail time for homeless man

The year has begun badly for a homeless man and his 2011 resolutions, the first of which was to avoid jail time.
On Wednesday, police responded to a report of a break and enter at an Innisfil Street address. It seems 43-year-old homeless male had broken into an empty home and was living in it. The owner arrived at the house and the uninvited ‘guest’ fled, leaving behind his possessions.
Included in them, say police, was a list of the man’s goals for the coming year, including the one about him staying out of jail. Police located the man later, and unfortunately had to deny him his top resolution.
He was charged with break and enter, several counts of breach of probation, and held pending a bail hearing. Police hope the remaining goals on his list will come to pass.
