Frying pan wielding man faces charges

A Barrie man, 39, is facing a number of charges after allegedly trashing a woman’s residence on Saturday.
Police responded to a call about a man who reportedly went to the woman’s residence to get some property, gaining entrance by kicking in the front door. Once inside, he allegedly broke a kitchen ceiling light with a frying plan, kicked in a bedroom door, smashed a television and “threatened another individual with the frying pan,” police report.
The accused, who police say was on a probation order with several conditions to abide by, is charged with break and enter, mischief Under $5,000, utter threats, and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
