Broom and stick work

Barrie police responded to a 911 call in the south end of the city Monday night.
They arrived on scene only to find two acquaintances involved in a physical altercation over some property. Both males resorted to utilizing weapons of opportunity being – a broom stick and a piece of wood ordinarily used to ensure security for the patio doors.
Both males swung with their weapons and eventually one of the males punctured the second with a set of car keys. They reside in Barrie and are aged 31 and 23.
One of the males was transported to RVH to be treated for his injuries. Police determined that both males were to be charged and had committed the offence of assault. Both were charged and later released with a court date.
