Barrie store robbed at knifepoint

Barrie police are seeking a man in connection with the robbery at the Country Convenience store on Essa Road.

Suspect in robbery of Country Convenience store on Essa Road

On Thursday, just before 9:30 p.m., police report that a man entered the store and brandished a knife at the female employees. He demanded cash from the register. After lifting a large amount of money, the suspect left the store, and as he did he damaged the business phone, police report.
He was last seen running south on Essa. He is described as being a white male, 5′ 8″ in height, wearing a hooded sweater, blue pants and white running shoes.
