Barrie police seize drugs, cash

Barrie police laid drug-related charges against two Barrie residents and a male from Toronto following a search of a Blake Street house, Thursday night.
Police executed a warrant at the address, finding two males, a female and a sleeping child within. While the police were there, a third male showed up and was taken into custody for possession of cocaine. Officers located a quantity of prescription drugs and cocaine with an estimated street value of $1,950, police report. About $4,000 was also seized.
The Toronto man, 24, is charged with five drug-related offences, and is being held pending a bail hearing. A Barrie male, 27, was charged with possession of cocaine and faces a future court date. The female, 25, was also charged with possession of cocaine and was released with a future court date. The third male was released without charges.
Police says they took appropriate action to ensure the well being of the child. The Toronto male, police report,had $7,000 seized three months ago during an unrelated search warrant
