Barrie police report increase in B-and-Es

Police released this photo of these shoes that, they say, were left behind by a break-and-enter suspect

Police are advising residents that break and enters are on the upswing in Barrie, particularly in the central/east end of the city.
They say that at least two recent break and enters occurred while the residents were at home. Further, police believe the robberies to be the work of the same two culprits.
One of the thieves left behind a clue, police say – a pair of shoes: IPATH BOB brand black high top runners, size 9-9.5.
The suspects are described as being white males in their late teens, both about 5’9″. Anyone with information is asked to call 705-725-7025, ext: 2172, or Crime Stoppers. Police also remind people to ensure their windows, doors and vehicles are locked.
