Barrie police nab disqualified driver

A man disqualified from driving because of an impaired driving conviction is facing more legal troubles after being discovered behind the wheel, police say.
Monday, a police office stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of a Dunlop Street business. It was subsequently determined the man, 28, was under a driving prohibition for an impaired driving conviction.
The office, police report, detected the smell of alcohol on the man’s breath. As a result of a roadside screening test, the driver was arrested for Drive over 80 mgs and drive while disqualified. He was taken to the station and provided breath samples of that were over the legal limit, police report. He was charged and held for bail, while the rented truck he was driving was impounded for 45 days.
