Barrie man treated for stab wounds

Police responded to a 911 call today (Sunday) regarding a fight in which two people were reported stabbed.
As a result, a Barrie male, 19, is facing a number of charges, including attempted murder.
Police arrived at a College Crescent rooming house just after 2 a.m Sunday. One of the victims, a 20-year-old male, was stabbed three times in the chest and stomach area, police reported. He was initially taken to the RVH for treatment and then transferred to the Sunybrook Trauma Centre with serious injuries.
The other victim, a 17-year-old female, was stabbed in the arm, police report. She was treated at the RVH and released. Police have determined that all three were known to each other.
The 19 year old was charged wit Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Weapons Dangerous, Assault with a Weapon times two. He has a bail hearing set for Monday. Two other suspects, both 18, were charged with Assault and Possession of a Controlled Drug or Substance. They have been assigned a Sept. 24 court date.
