A Barrie man who was apparently suicidal after losing his job was located in Toronto after fleeing the RVH and telephoning his farewells.
The man had gone to RVH with his wife, but took off. He was tracked to Toronto where Toronto police were notified. The male was located by Toronto police while he was contemplating suicide. He was taken into custody under the Mental Health Act, and returned to Barrie by police.
He was taken to RVH for further assessment on his mental wellbeing.
