Allegations to infidelity lead to charges and stitches: police

A dispute arising from allegations of infidelity led to charges against a Barrie woman and stitches for her partner, police report.
Responding to a 911 call from a female, officers interviewed a male, 43, who said his partner of four years had woken him, accusing him of cheating. Police say the man denied the suspicions and went to pour himself a coffee; the woman reportedly hit him on the face with the coffee mug.
The female, 42, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. The man required “several stitches” to close the wound.
