Motorist blows twice the legal limit

Alert citizen notifies police of suspect driver

The actions of a concerned citizen led to the arrest of a driver who blew two times over the legal limit for drinking and driving.
Barrie police took a call from a motorist who was following another on Hwy. 400 northbound, eventually heading off into the city. The second motorist, police say, seemed to be having a lot of difficulty staying in a lane of traffic. When located the driver was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where he registered as being over the limit.
Police also found a substance believed to be cocaine on the man, from Toronto. His vehicle was impounded for seven days and he was released with a future court date for impaired driving and possession of a controlled substance.
