A ticket to ride

Mistaking police for bus drivers earned a Barrie woman a ride to the police station.
The woman, 50, arrived at the Barrie Police Service downtown sub station Monday night. Officers determined she was under the influence of alcohol; she thought the officers were bus drivers and demanded a seat on the bus.
Officers attempted to redirect the female to the bus terminal ticket counter, however the female began to cause a disturbance inside the terminal. Concluding that she a danger to herself, she taken into custody for her own safety. After sobering up at the police station, she was released.
