Grocery bill not paid, say police

A Barrie woman, 31, finds herself in trouble with the law after allegedly failing to pay for groceries at a local store.
Security at the south-end Zehrs market observed a woman with a cart load of groceries leave the store without paying for the goods. When confronted by security, the woman fled, say police.
She didn’t get far, relate police, and was apprehended a short distance away and charged with Theft Under $5000, and Escape lawful custody. A further charges of Breach of Undertaking was also laid. The woman was expected to be on court today (jan. 5) to “answer to the charges.”
