Security thwarts theft of lamps

A beefed-up security presence at the Home Sense store in the Georgian Mall in response to a spate of thefts turned out to be worth the effort.
On Tuesday (Nov. 29) security noticed a female, 40, select two lamps, valued at $70 each, walking out of the store without making any attempt to pay for the selections. The woman was apprehended by security and held for police.
Upon review of security video from Nov. 24, the woman is alleged to have stolen three other lamps. She is facing three counts of theft under, and was released with a court date and a number of conditions.
