Santa is back in Barrie, Nov. 17

Santa Claus is coming back to town, with his sleigh winding through the streets of Barrie to the delight of kids of all ages.
The annual Santa parade, with the theme ‘Outrageous Christmas Trees,’ is set to roll through town, Saturday Nov. 17, beginning at 5 p.m.
Presented by the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by PowerStream,the parade kicks off at Tiffin and Lakeshore, 5 p.m. “sharp,” according to organizers.
From there it moves north on Lakeshore past the Rotary Club of Barrie’s Festival of Trees, and then west onto Victoria Street. From there is takes a right onto Bradford Street, heading north.
When the parade gets to Dunlop, it turns east and moves through the downtown core, past the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Memorial Square. The parade reaches the end of the route at Poyntz Street.
But Santa isn’t off to the North Pole just yet. After the parade the Jolly One drops by Memorial Square for a meet and greet.
