Police bust an ‘illegal cannabis dispensary,’ two men facing charges

A Barrie and a Sudbury man are facing a number of charges related to the operation of an illegal cannabis dispensary, police report.
On July 31, members of the Provincial Joint Forces Cannabis Enforcement Team (PJFCET), including the Ontario Provincial Police and Barrie Police Service, served a warrant at what police say is an illegal cannabis dispensary in Barrie.
Police seized cannabis and cannabis related products valued at $24,730, as well $4,333 of Canadian currency and electronics related to the operation.  
The store employees were both arrested and charged with: Possession of Cannabis for the purpose of selling – Cannabis Act, selling Cannabis – Cannabis Act, Possession of Proceeds of crime under $5,000 – Criminal Code.
The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on September 28.
