MPP Jackson host tax clinics

Local residents needing assistance with their tax returns can access a free clinic organized by MPP Rod Jackson, and assisted by experienced certified general accountants (CGAs) who volunteer to help low-income residents with their taxes.
The clinic, to be held at the MPP’s constituency office, is an annual event. It’s available to residents with gross income under $20,000, and families with gross income under $30,000.
Jackson’s office is at 20 Bell Farm Road. The clinics are planned for:
• Friday March 8, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday March 9, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Friday March 22, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday March 23, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
What to bring:
• 2012 personalized tax return package (received from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)).
• 2011 Notice of Assessment (received from the CRA after filing your 2011 income tax return).
• Copy of 2011 income tax return filed.
• All information slips received for employment, pension and investment Income (T4s, T5s, T3s, etc.).
• Receipts for charitable donations, medical expenses, RRSP contributions, child care receipts, tuition fees, etc.
• Details of spouse’s and/or dependent’s income.
