An 82-year-old Barrie man has been charged with sexually assaulting a paperboy, police report.
The boy was delivering papers in the south end of the city, say police, and reported that he had been sexually assaulted by a customer on his paper route. Police obtained a statement from the victim who identified the suspect.
The elderly man was arrested and charged with sexual assault. He was later released with a future court date on conditions not to have any contact with the victim or anyone under 16.

Pawn shop right call
The trail of a stolen cell phone led the rightful owner to a pawn shop, where her instincts rang true.
Barrie police officers took a call in regards to a woman who located her cell phone at the pawn shop. Officers commenced an investigation on who had pawned the stolen phone, eventually identifying the culprit and preparing an arrest warrant.
As it turned out the male was already dialled into police, being wanted for failing to attend court on other outstanding prior criminal matters. The stolen phone was returned to the rightful owner.
