Barrie police continue investigation into armed robbery

Barrie police continue to search for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store on Innisfil Street in Barrie last week.
On Friday, Feb. 15, just before 6 p.m., the suspect entered a convenience store in a small plaza on Innisfil Street in Barrie. The suspect entered the store alone, walked behind the counter and displayed a weapon, demanding the clerk lay down on the ground. 
The suspect then obtained a quantity of cash and cigarettes before fleeing on foot. The employee was not physically injured as a result of the incident, police report.
Police are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying the suspect, described as a younger male (adult age), tall with a slim build, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, with a black mask over his face, black pants with a Nike logo on the thigh, gloves and black shoes.
