Barrie celebrates Culture Days

The city’s arts groups and local artists will be celebrating Barrie’s first Culture Days, part of a nationwide commemoration of the arts.
The celebration is set for Saturday, Sept. 25, and will involve a variety of free, “interactive arts and cultural activities” throughout the city, including the Georgian Mall, Kozlov Centre and the Bayfield Mall, according to a City of Barrie press release.
Passports to the events are available at the MacLaren Art Centre, 37 Mulcaster Street, and the city’s Culture Department, 24 Maple Street, second floor.
Activities include an instrument petting zoo at Kozlov, a tour of Dotti Potts Pottery studio, where the kids make clay pots, an opera performance at the Georgian Mall, and a magician at Casa Cappuccino.
