As of March 23, 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in region, two deaths

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit currently has 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19 including two hospitalizations and two deaths. The table below lists details on all confirmed cases within Simcoe County and the District of Muskoka.

Probable cases and individuals awaiting test results will not reported due to the rapidly evolving situation and changing case definitions.
The graph below shows the number of confirmed cases by date of symptom onset in Simcoe Muskoka. To date, nine cases either have history of travel to an affected area or are a close contact of a case. One case’s source of infection is currently under investigation.

Table last updated: March 23, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Cases are assigned to the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit based on the residential address of the patient, not the location of the hospital the patient was seen at. For cases that reside outside of Ontario, cases are assigned to the health unit that is actively following up with the patient.
