Due to COVID-19, and for the safety of all, participants are encouraged to register and complete a physical activity safely in—or around—their homes, and by sharing their photos or videos on social media with the hashtag #DefeatDepression.
“With the uncertainty of the current pandemic it is more important than ever to spark conversation and awareness around Mental Health,” said Vanessa Quesnel, Barrie’s Defeat Depression event organizer. “Ensuring that the community of Barrie unites, learns about resources within the community and servicess can help not just them but possibly a friend, family member, or colleague right now or tomorrow is essential. now is the time.”
