Liberal team takes Easter breather

Colin Wilson, Liberal candidate for Barrie, says his campaign office will be closed Easter Sunday, to give his volunteers time off with their families.
“I do not think voters always appreciate what all those volunteers are doing to help preserve our democracy. It is much more than putting up signs and distributing literature,” Mr. Wilson said in a release. “These people are sharing their ideas, their time, their wishes and their skills to make politics work for themselves and their neighbours.
“Easter is a time of renewal of the spirit for Christians, as is Passover for the Jewish community. We all need to take this time, no matter what our religious depths, to contemplate, to refresh ourselves and to rededicate ourselves to those tasks in life that we wish to accomplish.”
The office reopens on Easter Monday. It was also closed Good Friday.
