‘Musical jukebox’ at Barrie North

Leader of the Pack‘ comes to Barrie North Collegiate, as students present the first ‘Broadway jukebox musical,’ Feb. 17, 18, and 19.
The play celebrates the life and times of Brooklyn-born Ellie Greenwich, whose doo-wop sounds skyrocketed to the top of the pop charts in the early to mid-1960s.
“This upbeat presentation will showcase Ellie Greenwich’s professional triumphs and personal misfortunes,” said Melissa Ali, teacher at Barrie North.
“I’m so proud of all the students involved in this production! We encourage students, parents and the school community to come experience this wonderful musical and support our students in their dramatic and musical achievements.”
All performances begin at 7:30 p.m. at the school 110 Grove Street East. Tickets are $5 for students and children, and $10 for adults. An all-performance pass is $15. Call 705-726-6541 to purchase tickets or for more information.
