Link to Ward 8 voters’ list, and more

Electors in Ward 8 can check to ensure they are on the voters’ list for the Dec. 3 by-election to fill a vacancy created when Jennifer Robinson resigned earlier this year.
Being on the list ensures that important voting information can be forwarded to voters, and it makes voting easier and faster, according to the city clerk’s office.
Ward 8 residents can view the list here, or in person by dropping by the clerk’s office at City Hall, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Eligible voters can add their name to the list, or revise information, by completing an ‘Application to Change the Voters’ List Form, found in the 2012 Ward 8 By- Election Section on the City’s website, or by contacting the clerk’s office.
Other pertinent information, including list of candidates and where to vote, can also be viewed via the site.
Ward 8 voters are asked to complete the information on the form, including any corrections, and return it to the clerk’s office by mail or in person with acceptable identification. Changes can be made up to and including voting day. Identification is required to cast a ballot, even if a voter’s name is on the list.
Eleven candidates are running to fill the vacancy. They are: Deborah Clarke-Whitehouse, David A. Edwards, Yolanda T. Gallo, Vicki Howe, Ghulam Jilani, Arif H. Khan, Don MacNeil, Steve Mallon, Mike A. Ramsay, Colin Wilson, Herb Yetman.
Contact the clerk’s office at 705-728-8683 for more information.
