No comfort zone for Colts

Hopefully, coming home after a long, difficult trip on the road is a source of comfort for many.
However, after getting creamed 8-1 by the London Knights Friday night, the Barrie Colts face the league-leading Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, tonight (Nov. 13) at the Barrie Molson Centre. Aaron Taylor notched the lone tally for the Colts.
With 33 points, St. Mikes is three points in front of the Saginaw Spirit, and a whopping 24 points in front of the basement-dwelling Colts. Unless the Horsemen unveil some secret weapon, Mississauga will be padding its lead tonight.
The Colts are returning home after a long two-week road trip, culminating in the Friday night embarrassment. The Knights were glad to see the Colts roll into town, as it afforded them the opportunity to snap their own four-game skid.
Clint Windsor marked the crease for the Colts this time out, facing 46 shots, proving once again that defense is the biggest gap in the Colts’ arsenal, not that they have many weapons from which to choose. (see stats tell the tale).

Colts notes: Captain Dalton Prout sat out the game in London, serving the second of an eight-game suspension.
