Colts drop a pair

The Barrie Colts kicked off their 2010-2011 OHL season on a sour note, dropping two decisions over the weekend.
On Saturday the Colts waded into Plymouth to open their 16th season, succumbing to a tide of Whaler goals that washed the Colts ashore with a 6-2 result.
It didn’t get much better for the horsemen in Windsor the following night when they met the Spitfires, the team that put them out of the playoffs last spring. That Sunday night tilt ended 7-5 for Windsor.
Colts goals in Plymouth came from Zach Hall and Steven Beyers; in Windsor, Trent Hawke (with two), Beyers (with two), and Mitchell Bursey scored for the Colts. After two games, Beyers has three goals, a stat that may provide some comfort for Colts’ fans.
The Colts’ home opener is Thursday, 7:30 p.m., against the http://www.battalionhockey.com/ at the Barrie Molson Centre.
