Luba Goy coming to town

Barrie’s Talk is Free Theatre (TIFT) plans to tickle the city’s funny bone with its Barrie International Comedy Festival Special.
As part of the festival, TIFT and the Barrie International Comedy Festival present Luba Goy on Tuesday, April 14, 8 p.m. at the Georgian Theatre.
Most famous as part of the Royal Canadian Air Farce, Goy has been recognized with two honourary doctorates, 15 ACTRAs, a Juno and a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame. This performance offers a glimpse into Goy’s own life as she performs a huge variety of characters, including famous personalities and even a few Prime Ministers.
Tickets have been on sale since last Friday. They are $45 or $35, plus HST and service fees. To book, phone the box office at 705-792-1949. Tickets are not available through the theatre’s website.
Attendees can also enjoy dinner at the Georgian Dining Room with dinner packages $125 plus HST per person. Tables of eight are also available.
